Migliederversammlung 2023 in Berlin
Am 08. September 2023 fand unsere Mitgliederversammlung 2023 zum 110 Jahr unseres Bestehens am Gründungsort unserer Gesellschaft statt. Eine große Zahl unserer Mitglieder nahmen die Gelegenheit wahr, den Sitz unserer Geschäftsstelle und vor allem auch die neuen Räumlichkeiten unserer Schultze-Berndt Bibliothek kennenzulernen. Daneben gab es vor der Mitgliederversammlung auch die Möglichkeit einzelne Abteilungen der VLB Berlin zu besichtigen und einen Eniblick in das Spektrum der Arbeitsbereiche der VLB Berlin zu erhalten. Mitgliederversammlung 2022 in Stralsund
Wir freuen uns, dass wir am 23. September 2022 in Stralsund endlich wieder eine Mitgliederversammlung als Präsenzveranstaltung abhalten konnten, die bei allen Teillnehmenden auf große Begeisterung stieß und bei bestem Wetter dazu einlud, die Hansestadt Stralsund mit all ihren Fecetten und touristischen Höhepunkten zu entdecken. Besonderer Dank gilt der Familie Nordmann und dem gesamten Team der Störtebeker Braumanufaktur für dieses wunderschöne Wochenende in Deutschlands Norden, an das sich alle gerne erinnern werden.
General Assembly 2021
The first virtual general meeting of the GGB e.V. took place on 10.09.2021 from 16-19 hrs. Participation was only possible after registration via the office. This type of meeting at least offered the possibility of a virtual meeting of the members and the new election of the Society's Board, which had already been postponed for a year, could be held. Voting was also possible by postal ballot.

General Assembly 2020
The extraordinary situation in the pandemic year 2020 also makes it necessary for the GGB e.V. to tread previously unknown paths in the operational business of the association. The regrettable suspension of the planned general meeting not only entails a postponement of the planned election of the new board, but also the necessity of discharging the incumbent board outside a regular meeting. Normally, this would take place through a motion for discharge and a vote of those present, as well as the evaluation of available voting messages. In order to lead our association into the year 2021 in a legally secure manner and capable of acting, a vote by written ballot only was required for the first time in 2020. As a member, you received the report of the management and the cash audit, supplemented by the balance sheet and the profit and loss account for the past financial year 2019, and were able to decide on the discharge by written vote. This procedure was supported by an amendment to the law that ensures the ability of associations to act in the given exceptional situation.
