The work is a bibliographic title collection of German and foreign university publications from the end of the 19th century to the 1960s. The special value of the work lies in the fact that dissertations from a wide range of faculties have been compiled, and unprinted works are also included, which would otherwise have remained unknown to most researchers of brewing history topics. Jakob Schneider presents a total of 904 dissertations and 8 post-doctoral theses from the fields of brewing, medicine and law; but works from the fields of social and economic history as well as agriculture and natural sciences are also represented in this bibliography. A comprehensive subject index provides access to the contents of the collection.
